This series of videos contrasts Roman Catholic doctrine with what the Scriptures actually say. The contrasts are startling and raised by ex-Catholics. This particuarly deals with the doctrines of purgatory, the Catholic doctrines concerning Mary, justification & salvation & the doctrine of purgatory.
One verse that is mentioned in the video, which I want to reiterate is Isaiah 29:13, which states: "And the Lord said:'Because this people draw near with their mouth and honor me with their lips, while their hearts are far from me,and their fear of me is a commandment taught by men..." This verse, as also noted in the video, was quoted by Christ in Matthew 15:8-9 & Mark 7:6-7, when He was confronted by the Pharisees when his disciples were gathering grain on the sabbath & had failed to purify themselves according to traditon.
